Passionate new owner brings The Tillicum back to life with friendly staff, hot music & former menu
The Tillicum Restaurant & Bar, 8585 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy, is easily one of the most recognizable establishments in Beaverton. That probably has a lot to do with the length of time it has survived. It's origins date back to the 1800s when it was a popular stagecoach stop. OK, history lesson over, modern day dish is comin' your way now!
With a mission to return The "Tilly" to it's former reputation for great food, friendly staff and a local neighborhood hangout, new owner Maighread Gallagher is all in heart and soul. This passionate Irish lass has brought back Chef Meni and her staff, who originated the menu folks have loved for years. As an "on premises" owner Gallagher enjoys getting to know her customers, whether she's behind the bar perfecting her stiff pour skills, or on the dance floor jammin' to the band. Gallagher is all about making the customers satisfied with their experience!
Known for showcasing the best names in music on both the local and national scene, The Tillicum is continuing in that tradition, featuring such marquee players as Lloyd Jones, Norman Sylvester, Bill Rhoades & The Party Kings, Schwing Daddies, Chubby Johnson and many others. Never to be static, the Tillicum is also known for bringing you the best of the crop in new talent. Some of those emerging artists, whose names you will soon know if you don't already, are Donerail and Cool Breeze. Continuing to cater to it's very diverse crowd, the Tilicum’ musical genres will also be diverse, while maintaining its reputation as the premiere class blues room on the westside.
