Cabaret de Solstice

By Eric Donaldson Tworivers

Cabaret de Solstice is a unique cocktail of songs and words from Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Tom Lehrer and Flanders & Swan, performed by Bob Sterry. Showcased in the Sherman Clay recital room at Sherman Clay Moe’s Pianos, 131 N.W. 13th, the event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m.

Sterry is a local singer, poet and a refugee from 25 years of high-tech marketing. He will perform the songs, poetry and prose pieces from American and British poets and original material. The show is described as “a musical and spoken journey, often hilarious, sometimes serious, but always entertaining. Expect something very different.” Sterry is accompanied on piano by “The Flying Fingers of Multnomah,” Mr. John Kazee.

Tickets are $15 at the door. For more information, contact Bob Sterry at 503-887-4588 or email to milennium@canby.com. Also see ad this issue.
