Bret Lucich is a man of many faces; the face worn best, however, is that of a professional entertainer. A few hours spent at one of his many local PDX shows will take you on a guest ride through time and offer a little taste of every one of your favorite bands.

Born in Oregon City, Lucich is a local musician working as a house entertainer for The Salishan Lodge for eight solid years. He has his act down. A starting set opens with Alan Jackson's Its Five O'Clock Somewhere and multiple segues into Willie Nelson then Ray Charles; they are all in the opening number.

Lucich performs his task with an unstoppable force, keeping the audience engaged at all times, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5-8 p.m. at the Wilsonville Holiday Inn. Guests are routinely asked to take part in the live music show, performing with one of the many instruments waiting on the stage.

Lucich will roam the audience with his acoustic guitar, singing the Beatles' Michelle as he seeks out his next participant. With two large keyboards, a drum machine and a vocal harmonizer, the overall sound is very full. The constant impressionism of favorite artists makes this a show for all ages and all music genres.

A show favorite by far is a soulful rendition of Danny Boy with some overtones of Come Sail Away by Styx or What a Wonderful World. Complete with articulate trumpet solo, Lucich has indeed blended his influences for big band jazz music, gospel and his love for artists such as Ray Charles and Billy Joel. Lucich produces a show that is high end entertainment.

A special upcoming show is Mothers Day at the Holiday Inn, when Lucich will bring in his own baby grand piano for accompaniment with your holiday celebration. For availability or to check on upcoming shows check ad and Bandstand.
