Jakes' collection of nostalgia, old pictures, woodwork and lighting make this a great place to view Dorsett's show. His magic show is for hire for many kinds of occasions, promising to give you your money's worth in fun and entertainment.
At Jake's, you can expect great service, food and atmosphere. With upscale dining, plush table settings, old Indian paintings and fine woodwork, to name a few amenities, you will also receive excellent service. The dining reputation is true to its word. This writer experienced the fresh clam chowder, and scrumptious dessert, warm berry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream. The heightened part of the whole experience is the magic show performed by Mark Dorsett.
The crowd this night was requesting Mark of Mystery to perform at their tables for a cozy fun-filled experience. Dorsett showed up at this table with a felt hat, striped tie and black cards. His unique show was all by him; no big boxes, gadgets, or wheeled in props with this show. He astounded people with tricks and magically produced many illusions. He does all and more beyond your imagination. He can find any card from the deck you’ve pulled out, put back and shuffled.
Friend Geraldine Misa seemed perplexed when Dorsett performed "the three rings," for which she seemed to have no reason or answer. He quickly then made an egg disappear into thin air. Before you could even try to think about how he did a trick, he was already performing another.
Bonnie Carter, editor of P.E., seemed reluctant to give up a $10 dollar bill for fear of it disappearing into thin air, when he just made it float in air before returning it to her amazement. Then there was the card that went up into flames and reappeared. He can make sugar at your table freeze! It's no wonder Dorsett astounds all who see him.
As a boy, Dorsett grew up trying all his tricks on everyone, especially mom. Tapped into the magician cliché from an early age, Dorsett has learned to master a great show. He also is fun to be around. You can tell he loves what he does for a living. You really need to experience this show, whether you attend or hire him for one of your special events. He is available for family entertainment, company events, trade shows and promotions, magic lessons and private parties.
You can reach him at his email, magic@markofmystery.com , or his website, www.markofmystery.com, www.myspace.com/markofmystery or by phone at 360-798-3973. You will be glad you did!
