A new jazz club opens in southeast: Aaron’s

Aaron's Wine Cellar is a classy new establishment in the S.E. Montavilla neighborhood at 324 S.E. 82nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon, (1 block north of Stark Street - next door to the affiliate All-Ways Warm, Inc.).Owner Ron Buchholz also owns All-Ways Warm, Inc. selling woodstoves, pellet and gas stoves and fireplaces (503-777-6000).

Aaron's Wine Cellar is below the store serving wine and micro brews and featuring jazz, blues and R&B. It’s a classy, warm and comfortable setting with a covered outdoor smoking area in front of a fireplace.

You will notice a beautiful chandelier at the front window. As you walk down the staircase, artwork and a fireplace welcome you at the entrance to the wine cellar. The floor plan and decor are sophisticated class. As you walk in, the decor reminds you of being in a cozy living room with comfortable couches and a fireplace. This time of the year, there is a beautiful Christmas tree next to one of the fireplaces. A definite comfortable warm setting with 4,000 square feet of knotty pine, Tiffany lamps, it is a perfect combination of fine wine and music to enjoy. The bartender is knowledgeable of wine selections. There are specialty Maryhill wines and micro brews.

The tables are set with wine-bottle candelabras. In the back portion of the cellar is a classy juke box, free pool, shuffleboard, air hockey and a game machine. There is a grand piano player Thursdays, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Jumbo Yams Productions presents: "Historic Moods" Jam Session (musicians welcome to share talents) featuring Yamile (Mama Yama), jazz, blues and R&B vocalist, along with various pianists; and special guests such as Bruce Covalt, bassist; and Sam Schlichting, tenor saxophonist. Friday and Saturday nights, Doug Westberg, pianist/singer/songwriter, performs 7-11 p.m.

Aaron's Wine Cellar is available to rent for functions/events at 503-777-6000 and aaronswinecellar.net. Ron Buchholz has recently opened the wine cellar featuring jazz, blues and R&B, specialty wines and micro brews and is looking forward to people coming in to share the music and the warm comfortable setting.
