Deep in the heart of Aloha, just off of the well-traveled Tualatin Valley Hwy., lies Pyzano's Lounge and Grill. Known as "the place where your friends hang out," this cozy enclave combines great food, live entertainment and a friendly atmosphere to make that statement real.In its half-dozen year history, Pyzano's has become a frequent destination point for patrons from throughout the Washington County area.
Food is a high priority here. Pyzano's boasts "the best New York gourmet pizza in Aloha." Their house recipes rise to the occasion using the highest quality ingredients and dough made fresh daily. Ten different styles, including the infamous "Bronx Bomber," offer even repeat customers a smorgasbord of possibilities. Incredible "sub" sandwiches, as well as other conventional fare, such as wraps and broasted chicken. are also on tap.
A full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees are available all day from 9 a.m. to midnight, with a variety of daily specials topping the list. The $1.99 "Early Bird" breakfast and Wednesday night $6 all-you-can-eat spaghetti feed are just a few of the favorites cited by those in the know.
Entertainment comes in a variety of flavors at this quaint establishment. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, "Moonlight" Karaoke is featured. Patrons can choose from literally 1000s of songs, then stand and be heard. All levels of performance are respected and having fun is the paramount concern. Friday evenings are reserved for live music, with some of the area's top bands bringing their talents to the stage with no cover charge.
A recent visit found local stalwarts Radiophlyer lighting up a capacity crowd with their brand of classic rock stylings. The core of this year-old group is guitarist Steve Pershing and drummer Joe Southern, who have played together in other bands for over 20 years. Joining Pershing in sharing lead vocal duties is keyboardist Bill Heston, while bass player Danny Ard, known as "a musical mercenary," fleshes out the rhythm section and adds back-up vocals to the mix. Strong renditions of classic rock material, plus original compositions such as Long Hard Road and Keep On Keepin' On, had the crowd on the dance floor throughout the show. The group also occasionally adds guest stars to the lineup, making this an act worth a listen.
Pyzano's also features several TV monitors to follow the latest sporting events, an online golf game, pool and a modern juke box to keep things hopping. The friendly serving staff, lead by Belinda, Willow and Jennie, works hard so you can always have a good time. The easy-to-find location at 20255 S.W. Tualatin Valley Hwy is certainly worth a visit.
