Be a rock star in Club Zoo contest
By Karl Kase
If you wanna be a rock star, Club Zoo, located at 9310 N.E. 76th St., in Vancouver, Wash., will pay out $1000 in cash and prizes to winners in their current Karaoke contest. Qualifying rounds are currently happening every Wednesday with DJ Spice. Sign-up by 10:30. Two singers will move on to the finals on Sept. 16.with prizes awarded weekly.
Club Zoo has created a very dynamic atmosphere that is effective in attracting patrons of all ages. This has been accomplished by having one half of the bar emulating a classic sports pub feel, while the other half a more club-like environment.
The club-like portion is equipped with a small stage for Karaoke performances, a creatively lit dance floor, and an area reminiscent of the VIP tables common in Las Vegas clubs.
On this evening's contest,. the KJ encouraged customers that were present to sing and provided them with 1000s of songs to choose from. Along with numerous songs, the sound equipment was capable of helping even the most inexperienced singer feel confident. The display screen for the lyrics was rather small, but the angle of the stage pointed each performer in the right direction.
If socializing, singing, and dancing are sought, then Club Zoo is the place to go...and be a rock star!
