McFadden Project CD release party set at Roseland Theater

First Sixty Years in the title of the new release by McFadden Project. You won’t have to wait that long to hear a sampling of some of the 14 cuts on this interesting endeavor. The band plans a CD Release Party for Saturday, Feb. 25, 8 p.m. The Roseland Theater (Peter’s Room, N.W. 6th and Burnside) hosts this upbeat and eclectic group. Hudson Rocket Band will open the concert, which is an over-21 only event, $3 cover.
For those interested in knowing more about the band’s sound and CD itself, refer to last month’s PE&D issue for a complete review of this intriguing band’s first release. Here’s a quote from that review: “The CD, First 60 Years, contains a variety of styles: rock, country-rock and a touch of blues, mixing an upbeat sound with some important, timeless messages. The CD shows the care and love put into crafting the songs, with many years of developing, nurturing and perfecting the sound put into this project The results is a thought and emotion invoking compilation.”
Take a journey through the last 60 years of musical history, brought to you in Technicolor by this kaleidoscopic band. Chances are something will appeal to you or ring that bell in your head that makes you remember some of the music from the “good old days.”
