Spencer's Grill

By Steve J Johnson

Owner and host Peter Bogart invites you to enjoy a complete cross-section of dining and entertainment in Sandy, Ore., at Spencer's Grill, formerly TJ's Fireside Dining.

With an offering that includes fireside dining on a bill-of-fare presented by a Cordon Bleu Chef, you will see a diverse menu featuring a good selection of salads. Caesar salad is available with your choices of salmon, shrimp or chicken. A wide array of hot or cold sandwiches are offered, not to mention a full selection of entrees and a lunch menu. So whatever time of day you drop in, you can be assured of a choice to suit your particular taste.

When this writer visited the establishment, the weekend's live band was Bad Boys. They played a nice variety of dance music including country and rock and roll. Their choice of music was good and delivered at a good volume for dancing, however conversation was still possible for those in the lounge.

Spencer's offers a number of entertainment choices including live music on the weekends, Karaoke during the week, a pool table and sports TV. Try your luck in a comfortable video poker area.

Spencer's also boasts a full-service bar and a wine list featuring a fine selection of wines from California, Oregon, and Washington.

If you find yourself in Sandy for an evening, or just driving through from a day on the mountain, you should consider Spencer's Grill. For a broad menu selection and an excellent array of entertainment options, Spencer's on 39024 Proctor Blvd. in Sandy should certainly be a destination on your list of choices.
