A Taste of Beaverton
Beaverton's largest annual celebration of food, music, art and 'good neighbors' is presented by Bank of America, long-time major sponsor of The Taste of Beaverton. The event runs the weekend of June 26 - 28 in Beaverton's Griffith Park.
The Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce is proud that this year's event will be called The Bank of America Taste of Beaverton as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
The second day of The Bank of America Taste of Beaverton will again be dubbed The City of Beaverton "Good Neighbor Celebration." And Beaverton's Good Neighbor Of The Year Award will be announced in time for the honoree to ride in The Taste's "Good Neighbor Parade." This year's parade will carry the fitting theme "Color of Fun."
The entertainment will be as good as the food. Throughout the three days, nearly 50 performing artists will appear on three diffeent sponsor stages. Past performers have included the record-breaking jazz legend Lou Rawls, Tom Grant, Mickey Thomas and Starship, the legendary British rockers Eric Burdon and Dave Mason. This year promises to be another great one with international, national, regional and local performers slated to play including Linda Hornbuckle Band, The Supremes starring Mary Wilson, Patrick Lamb Quartet, Tom Grant Band, Bobby Torres Ensemble, Curtis Salgado Band, Michael Allen Harrison and the Bob Miller Almost Allstars.
Produced by the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce with the assistance of the corporate and business community, The Taste of Beaverton has become the city's signature event. It benefits the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce member programs and services, Washington County Special Olympics, Beaverton Education Foundation, Beaverton Float Committee, the Beaverton Arts Commission and more.
