One might think of downtown Gresham as a one-horse sleepy lit- tle town. There may even be some truth to this notion. However, when Friday and Saturday roll around, this wide spot in the road becomes pivotal in the world of entertain- ment and family events. Located in the very heart of it all is the M&M Restaurant and Lounge, 137 N. Main St. This world-class establishment has a special place in the hearts of many, earning it pet names such as "World Famous" and "Legend- ary." The Heitzman Family have owned and operated this beautiful piece of history for 29 years. From day one, live music has been a key to their continued suc- cess. Take one look at the size of the dance floor and the bountiful seating and you realize they care about your weekend fun. In sched- uling their bands, you can always bet on a strong lineup of top notch acts. The list is extensive, including Mike Branch Band, The Insensitives, Crush, Midlyfe Crisis, Saturated Phats, Jambo and The Senate, Saturday Night Orphans, Madson and The Myxx, just a few names that this writer has had the pleasure of seeing perform. From someone that has made it a point to evaluate service in our beloved favorite nightspots, this writer can honestly say, "The service, food and drink menu here has made it a favorite spot to share a memorable weekend with friends and family."
Upcoming bands include: Oct. 2-3 Crush; Oct. 9-10 Hot Lynx; Oct. 16-17 Saturated Phats; Oct. 23-24 Mike Branch Band; Oct 31 Halloween bash with the Insensi-
